Iyad Duwaji is the Chief Executive Officer of SHUAA Capital, a financial services firm which focuses on GCC markets. Mr. Duwaji has held that position since 1995. SHUAA Capital is a public company listed on the Dubai financial Market with a capital base of $450 million. It is active across five business lines and has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Cairo, Istanbul and Beirut. In addition, the company today oversee and manages over $2 billion in clients' assets.

Mr. Duwaji has extensive and first hand experience in the Middle East region markets. He has been involved in 22 acquisitions, divestitures and business restructuring worth over $3 billion over the past 15 years.

In 1998, Mr. Duwaji participated in the first private equity fund dedicated to the Arab region. In 2005, Mr. Duwaji established SHUAA Partners as a separate company operating out of DIFC in Dubai.  SHUAA Partners manages today $410 million deployed in GCC and MENA region.

Mr. Duwaji is a member of the Arab Business Council and the Young Presidents Organization. He also serves on the Board of Directors of companies and funds in various sectors across the region. Mr. Duwaji holds an M.B.A. degree in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas.
